What each widget shows
- Panchang
- Today's tithi and nakshatra with their end times, yoga and karana, sunrise and sunset, rahu kaal, abhijit muhurat, yamaganda, gulika, moonrise, the month, and the choghadiya running now.
- Rahu kaal
- Today's rahu kaal in large type with a live note (starts in, on now, over), plus yamaganda, gulika, sunrise and sunset.
- Choghadiya
- The choghadiya running now, and all eight day slots (and the eight night slots in the full size), each marked good, neutral or avoid.
How it works
- Every time is computed by our own astronomical engine for the city you pick, from its own sunrise and sunset, the same numbers as our city pages.
- The widget changes date by itself at midnight (India time) and marks the running choghadiya from your visitor's clock. Nothing to update.
- It is a small page with no ads, no cookies and no third-party scripts. It fits any width; the compact size suits a sidebar.
Terms (short and simple)
- Free for any website: temples, community and cultural sites, blogs, schools. No fee, no sign-up.
- Keep the credit line visible: the "by Satmarg Astro" link inside the widget and the link under it in the code. Please do not hide, remove or nofollow them.
- Do not change the timings or present them as your own calculation. If you want a city that is not in the list, write to [email protected].
- We count how many times the widget is shown on each website (the site's address only, never your visitors' IP addresses or personal details), so we know where it is used.
Questions
Is the panchang widget really free?
Yes. There is no fee and no account. We ask only that the credit link stays visible.
Which cities are available?
All 178 cities that have a panchang page on this site, from the largest cities to pilgrimage towns. Each widget uses that city's own sunrise and sunset.
Will it slow my site down?
No. The widget is a small page of plain HTML with no images, fonts or trackers, and it loads lazily, only when it comes into view.
Can I show it in Hindi?
Yes. Choose Hindi as the widget language: every label, name and time is then in Hindi, with times on the 24-hour clock as Hindi almanacs print them.
