11 Dec 2027: questions
Which tithi is it on 11 Dec 2027?
On 11 Dec 2027 in New Delhi, the tithi at sunrise is Shukla Trayodashi (Shukla paksha), until 12 Dec, 1:43 AM; then Shukla Chaturdashi. The month is Margashirsha (amanta) / Margashirsha (purnimanta).
Which nakshatra is it on 11 Dec 2027?
Bharani at sunrise, until 5:38 PM; then Krittika.
When is rahu kaal in New Delhi on 11 Dec 2027?
From 9:38 AM to 10:56 AM. Yamaganda is 1:31 PM–2:49 PM and gulika 7:03 AM–8:20 AM.
What time is sunrise in New Delhi on 11 Dec 2027?
Sunrise is at 7:03 AM and sunset at 5:24 PM — the Sun's upper limb with standard refraction, the convention of the Indian Astronomical Ephemeris and of Drik Panchang (our times agree with the official ephemeris within a quarter of a minute). Almanacs that print the Sun's centre without refraction give sunrise about 3–4 minutes later and sunset as much earlier.
Is there a vrat or festival on 11 Dec 2027?
Hanuman Vratam (Karnataka): Karnataka’s Hanuman Vratam: Margashirsha Shukla Trayodashi at sunrise. Shani Pradosh: Trayodashi prevailing at pradosh (sunset to one fifth of the night); if on both days, the day it covers more.
These times are for New Delhi. The same date for another city: panchang finder. Need a time for an auspicious start? Find a muhurat.
Reading a panchang
- Tithi
- Each 12° of separation between the Moon and the Sun is one tithi — 30 in a lunar month, 15 in each of the bright (Shukla) and dark (Krishna) halves. A day takes the tithi running at sunrise; sometimes a tithi never touches a sunrise (kshaya) and sometimes one spans two (vriddhi).
- Nakshatra
- The 27 equal lunar mansions of the zodiac, each 13°20′. The Moon crosses about one a day. Muhurat and naming lean on the nakshatra more than anything else.
- Yoga
- The sum of the Sun’s and Moon’s sidereal longitudes, in 27 parts of 13°20′, from Vishkumbha to Vaidhriti; Vyatipata and Vaidhriti are avoided for auspicious work.
- Karana
- Half a tithi — usually two in a day. Nothing auspicious is begun in Vishti (Bhadra) karana.
- Vara
- The Hindu weekday runs from sunrise to the next sunrise, not from midnight.
- Rahu kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika
- Daylight split into eight parts, one part each by weekday. Tradition avoids them for beginning something new; ordinary work goes on.
- Choghadiya and hora
- Choghadiya divides day and night into eight parts each; a hora gives the ruling planet of each twelfth of the day. Both are widely used for business and travel.
Every figure comes from our own engine (VSOP87 / ELP, Lahiri ayanamsa), tested against the Swiss Ephemeris; tithi and nakshatra end times are accurate to about 2 minutes.
