Vehicle Purchase: what it is
Vehicle purchase muhurat is the time to take delivery of a car, two-wheeler or other vehicle, often with a small puja at the showroom or a temple. The purchase is an everyday act, so only a few whole-day blocks apply.
What the classical rules look at
A vehicle is for movement, so the movable (chara) and light (laghu) nakshatras are chosen — Ashwini, Punarvasu, Pushya, Hasta, Swati, Shravana, Dhanishta, Shatabhisha — with the soft ones such as Mrigashira, Chitra, Anuradha and Revati. Most tithis are accepted; Pratipada, the Rikta tithis, Ashtami and Amavasya are not. Rahu kaal, Yamaganda, Bhadra and Vyatipata/Vaidhriti are avoided; an adhik maas is the only whole-day block.
How practice varies
Dhanteras, Dussehra, Akshaya Tritiya and Gudi Padwa are popular days to buy vehicles across India, and many families treat them as good without checking further. Pushya nakshatra days — especially Guru Pushya — are also sought after.
These dates come from our own engine applying open rules — no AI. We do not check lagna shuddhi, personal tara/chandra bala, panchaka or regional customs, and the rules are the strict core many traditions share, so some almanacs will list dates that are missing here.
