Common misreadings
- Confusing it with chandrashtama. The monthly transit of the Moon through the 8th sign from your natal Moon is a different thing, lasting two days.
- Reading it as a fixed fate. A dusthana placement describes where the mind works hardest, not a sentence on health or life.
- Ignoring the phase and sign. An exalted, bright Moon in the 8th for Libra rising is a very different chart from a debilitated waning Moon for Aries rising.
