Common misreadings
- Assuming property is guaranteed. This placement describes a tendency towards stability at home, not a specific house or date.
- Forgetting the karaka. The Moon, not Jupiter, is the main significator of the mother and mind; both must be read.
- Overlooking kendradhipati dosha debates. For Virgo and Gemini lagnas, astrologers disagree about how benefic a kendra-owning Jupiter remains.
- Reading only from the Moon. The Moon-sign chart is a useful second view, not a replacement for the lagna.
