- Treating restlessness as unhappiness. Many people with this placement love their moves and their unconventional homes.
- Predicting harm to the mother. The classical theme is concern and distance, and the mother's own chart and the Moon matter far more.
- Ignoring Ketu in the 10th. Half of this axis is about career, and it often explains why home feels so important.
- Reading without the lagna. The house is counted whole-sign from the sidereal lagna, and many astrologers repeat the reading from the Moon sign. A different lagna gives a different sign and dispositor, and a different story.
