- "Saturn in the lagna means an unlucky life." A dignified Saturn here forms a Mahapurusha yoga. Even an enemy-sign Saturn mostly describes the pace of life, not its worth.
- Ignoring the lagna. Saturn in the 1st for Libra lagna and for Aries lagna are nearly opposite placements. Always name the sign first.
- Reading it in tropical houses. This site uses the sidereal zodiac and whole-sign houses; a Western chart may put Saturn in a different house altogether.
- Forgetting the Moon chart. Many astrologers repeat the reading from the Moon sign. Saturn in the lagna but far from the Moon is felt differently from Saturn conjunct the Moon.
